I'm going to be preaching for the first time next tuesday. i'm kinda nervous because its my first time, but i know God has given me a word and i'm trusting that he'll help settle my nerves. please be praying for me.

  • y can't i get through to her??

what do u do when u know someone is hurting inside, u know they need to open up and talk to someone, but they won't?

There is a young girl that i know.  She's been going through a lot, she's got a psycho mom that puts her through hell.  She gets made fun of at school.  The only way i know about her getting made fun of at school is through other people, not her.  Because of her mom i can't talk to her much.  I used to be able to talk to her a lot and she would open up to me and confide in me. but now, because of her mom, she doesn't have the opportunity to open up to me as much.  This has sort of closed her up.  i don't believe she's talking to anyone about her problems.  Some of the people she's around are hard to trust.  I'm afraid if she doesn't talk to anyone she'll keep things bottled up, and i know how that can affect u, both mentally and physically.

    what should i do?

  • I had a lot of fun in California. Went to Huntington Beach the first day, it was chilly and overcast but we still had a lot of fun.  Went to Hollywood and saw a guy running down the street in a gorilla suit  lol.  We went to a wax museum that was pretty cool.  When we went to Venice Beach and saw some crazy people.  One guy was walking all over broken glass for money.  There was a guy that had a sign that said "will work for marijuana."  We also went to Knott's Berry Farm, an awesome amusement park.  We rode all the big coasters.

A couple days ago everyone was wearing t-sirts and shorts.  When they predicted snow i didn't think it was gonna happen. So i was wrong, i didn't think it would be that bad. it snowed pretty hard and stuck for a couple hours.

  • My grandmother passed away tonight after battling cancer for a year. I'm thankful she's not in pain anymore, but i'm still sad.  Please keep me and my family in your prayers.

  • It snowed last night.  came down pretty hard, but it wasn't cold enough to stick.  it was still kinda fun.  since we're so snow deprived in Alabama, we get psyched over a flurry  lol  i know...we're pathetic

  • We had our youth rally on Friday.  It went great.  Had a pretty good size crowd.  The bands were awesome.  And the message preached was just what we needed to hear.

I'd like to ask whoever reads this to please remember a friend of mine in prayer.  She is going through a really rough time and has had time where she has just felt hopeless.  She's better now but she still needs to be lifted up in prayer.  Thanks in advance.
